The Events Company were successfully appointed to host the National Optical Conference and Award Dinner for the Association of Optometrists which provides support and guidance for its members from the optical industry.

Our brief was to organise a successful conference that exceeded member’s expectations whilst working within budget constraints, and host their annual awards that celebrates achievements across the optical sector.


350 – 500 Delegates


This year’s annual conference was hosted at the Hilton Metropole, NEC Birmingham for 450 delegates.

The Events Company delivered production for the past two years, and provided the Association of Optometrist with a custom built set to help engage and inform its members, which incorporated branding for their headline sponsor Johnson & Johnson. We also created an animated logo for the conference and awards dinner.

In addition, we provided technical assistance for their exhibition and syndicate sessions. Another element of the conference is their black-tie awards dinner which has quickly become a highlight in the optical calendar, which celebrates the delegates and achievements in the industry.
